From a young age I was intrigued with small, multicolored objects. One of my earliest art projects was a mosaic made from Chiclets. Today, I use a variety of materials to create my vignettes, including stained glass, mirrors, vintage jewelry, pottery shards and other found treasures. These mixed media designs invite the viewer in with their vibrant colors and variations in texture and depth.

Throughout my life, I have explored many different media and techniques. Mosaic design has proven to be a perfect outlet for my creativity. The process is similar to fitting together a jigsaw puzzle, but with the freedom to arrange the pieces any way I choose. The deliberate, meditative quality of the work suits my patient nature and somewhat perfectionist tendencies. Although the compositions are meticulously crafted, they still have a sense of spontaneity and flow.

Recently I have begun working with clients to make custom pieces that incorporate personal items or draw on meaningful themes. Through careful research and communication to reach an understanding of your vision, I will create a memorable, one-of-a-kind object of art.
